Peristimulus Time Histogram (hardware-based)
Commonly, electrophysiological recording systems contains an option to perform spikes isolation using voltage hardware discriminator. This makes it possible to characterize neuronal activity and its specifity instantly and roughly during recording process. Thus, we left such possibility in our program in parallel with Fuzzy Spike Sorting procedure. Please, note, that you have to reserve separate I/O channel at your DAQ to acquire the signal from hardware windows discriminator (in our case it is cannel 2).
